The Abundance Mindset

Shed the Scarcity Mindset for True Happiness and Satisfaction.

The Covid experience we are all sharing is a fantastic opportunity for us to grow our consciousness exponentially and take leaps forward to becoming new and better versions of ourselves and live life with more joy and pleasure.

Countless people are awakening to their personal "energy leaks" (relationships, jobs, cities, etc.) and deciding to cut out what is no longer serving them in life. They are discarding external energy leaks, but more importantly, identifying and shedding negative internal patterns and related behaviors.

One primary belief system, which leads to suffering for all who abide by it, is a scarcity mindset. This is the idea that we do not have enough of something, whether it's love, money, success, social acceptance, "likes" on social media, material goods, physical attractiveness, time, control, and so on.

Feeling "lack" significantly fuels peoples' egos- that internal voice everyone has deep down that is terrified of not feeling important enough and loved. How does this develop, one might ask? For most of us, if not all, our belief systems come from childhood experiences.

In extreme cases, children who experience abuse, abandonment, or neglect grow up believing they did not receive enough love and are therefore unlovable. How they try to remedy this as children, adolescents, and even adults can vary. For example, they may attempt to compensate by seeking love and admiration from others or seeking money and success. But, unfortunately, these "remedies" ultimately decrease resilience because they come from external sources and suppress internal resources.

The idea that something or someone outside of us can help us gain joy or complete us is a complete farce called the "outside/in illusion." External forces might lead to temporary relief but rarely long-term happiness. Once people become aware of this illusion and understand they might be living with a scarcity mentality, they can begin the journey towards something greater- the abundance mentality.

After understanding there is a different way of believing and behaving comes the critical step of committing to fundamental changes. The most significant challenge is facing their "shadow side," also known as ego, which always holds people back from living life more authentically.

Without addressing our shadow side, we will inevitably go back to old patterns and search for external validity. But, unfortunately, looking inward is often avoided because facing and dissolving unhealthy aspects of our character requires sitting with and experiencing unpleasant emotions and memories.

As difficult as this can be, the results are incredible. When you realize abundance is all around and within you, you can manifest what you want in life and shed the scarcity mindset!
