Local Leagues Provide Fun and Excellent Exercise

Most adults who participated in sports when they were younger, no longer do. But who says team sports are just for kids? Researchers have found that recreational team sports are an excellent form of exercise that includes sprints, bursts of high intensity, aerobic and endurance activity. In addition, team sports help individuals expand their social network, learn new skills and boost confidence levels. Flower Mound offers myriad recreational sports leagues for adults. 1.     Softball

Flower Mound Parks and Recreation athletics offers spring, summer and fall adult softball leagues with divisions based on competition level. 2.     Men’s Basketball

Flower Mound Parks and Recreation athletics offers spring, summer and fall adult men’s recreational and competitive basketball leagues. 3.     Adult Co-ed Kickball

Sign up early, limited space is available. Teams play nine season games, and the top four teams participate in an end-of-season playoff.

4.     Men’s 8-on-8 Flag Football
