If you have ever wondered what it's like to have bear repellent in your nether regions, don't worry, you don't have to. Matt and Nat, founders of the YouTube channel Adventures of Matt and Nat, captured this unfortunate but hilarious experience on video while documenting one of their undertakings in Alaska's Denali Park. In 2020-2022 while others were navigating how to go to the grocery store, these two successfully fulfilled their goal to visit all fifty states in one calendar year.
Matthew and Natalie, two full-time musicians from North Carolina and Florida, met in the capital city of music, Nashville, while following their dreams as singer-songwriters in Country and Christian music. It was love at first flight. And, after five years of a long-distance relationship, they closed the gap and married.
Little did they know the difficulties of navigating a long-distance relationship would be nothing compared to the even more significant challenge of the music industry's response to COVID-19. Like many, they found themselves out of work and reprioritizing what mattered most. As terrible as 2020 was for so many, it allowed Matt and Nat to hop off the hamster wheel of life long enough to reevaluate dreams, goals, and aspirations. Rather than getting locked down, they chose to open new doors.
Being benevolent, entrepreneurial, and adventurous, they saw travel as the vehicle to support struggling local businesses by providing exposure, generating income, and living life to its fullest. Matt and Nat are not your typical travel bloggers posting videos on yachts and helicopters. Nat began working at a major airline to support their ambitions. While they have taken day trips across the country for a birthday lunch, other excursions have not been picture-perfect. One adventure included Matt sitting in a rental car for eight and half hours while Nat waited fourteen hours to get a standby seat. However, No matter the challenge, they always seem to make the best of it.
Matt and Nat love discovering places, experiences, and cultures. They spend all their free time researching new locations, finding the most picture-perfect spots, the best food, once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and more. They explore, so you don't have to, with the hopes that their photos, videos, blogs, and travel guides will inspire and encourage others to find their "more" through travel and adventure and make their pursuit easier.
