Looking for that fun, challenging workout? Well, if want a real burn in your workout, then go to BURN!! I am about to introduce the best spot that will make you want to sign up. BURN Studios, a workout gym with three Atlanta locations, offers cycling, kickboxing, sculpting and yoga. It will make you feel the burn instantly.

The moment you do a class at BURN, you may instantly be hooked. I was! I can see a huge difference from my workouts at BURN compared to a regular gym.

If you want, try the 30/30 class where you do 30 minutes of cycle and 30 minutes of sculpt, where your body is toned. Classes are 45 minutes while 30/30 classes are an hour. Kickboxing is a fun, intense workout and, if you had a bad day, it can cure your frustration in no time. Cycling is a workout that will make you feel a burn from 0 to 10 instantly. What really takes your workout to the next level is when you go outside and do sprints and climb hills loaded with heavy gear. Sculpting is a low-key workout that is done with weights and works wonders for your arms and muscles.

Great Instructors

All the instructors are wonderful, but two of my favorites are Katie and Jennifer. Jennifer is always pumped with enthusiasm and makes the class really exciting. She will challenge you with her intense workouts, and if you don’t feel sore after her class, you did it wrong.

Katie is always outgoing and brings great energy to the class, especially kickboxing. Go to the website and you can learn more about Katie, Jennifer and the other amazing teachers.

Another nice thing about BURN is its size. The studios aren’t large, so classes are small, which is also nice during the COVID-19 era. In the Poncey Highland location, which is where I go, the cycle class taps out at 20 people with Boxing and Sculpting is maxing out at 14.

Convenient and Reasonable

BURN has three locations: Poncey Highland, Buckhead and Brookhaven. Poncey is the newest location that opened a year ago in 2019, while Buckhead opened in 2018 and Brookhaven, the original location, opened in 2015.

BURN is also reasonable. There are two memberships levels. BURN Anywhere is $149 a month, and BURN Concierge is $199 a month. Both memberships can be used at all three BURN locations, but the major difference is they have a different cancellation window frame. BURN anywhere has a 12-hour cancellation, while BURN Concierge has a 2-hour cancellation window frame. These time frames indicate how much time you have before cancelling your class without being charged.

Since the pandemic in March, BURN has offered livestreaming classes with your favorite instructors while many gyms were closed at the time. BURN reopened in May, but the livestream classes are still offered if you are not ready to go back in person yet.

I feel totally safe in the classes. They have reduced class capacity, and the kickboxing boxes, bikes and yoga mats all spaced 6 feet apart. In addition, there is contactless check in, constant sanitizing between classes and masks required upon entering for members, desk staff and instructors. You are not required to have your mask on during your class.
