After more than 25 years in healthcare field and running family-operated personal care homes, Esther and David Woghiren witnessed a heartbreaking crisis. There were too many aging adults being discharged due to lack of funding, left in unsafe or unstable situations.
“We started My Global Blessings to address this issue and ensure that seniors can age in place with dignity, security, and proper support,” shared Esther Woghiren, CEO and co-founder.
The nonprofit offers Emergency Rental Assistance, Utility Assistance, Home Repair Financial Support, and a Caregiver Wellness Day Program—all designed to support low-income seniors and the family members who care for them.
“We serve seniors 55 and older, as well as informal caregivers, throughout the metro Atlanta area—including Roswell and East Cobb,” said Esther. Many of those they help are on fixed incomes or qualify for VA benefits.
With the senior population growing rapidly, Esther says their mission is more urgent than ever. “Our work helps families keep their loved ones in stable, familiar environments, while also providing support and education about planning for long-term care.”
