Did you know there is a hidden gem in Medina that allows you to rest next to a wallaby from down under or go for a walk with an alpaca in a meadow? If you prefer something livelier, there are donkeys who yearn for your affection and goats who will stand on your back during yoga. Majestic Meadows Alpacas & Boutique is a great release for stressful times and so close, it almost does not seem real, almost majestic

Faye and Jeffrey Farley, owners of Majestic Meadows, who now work alongside two of their children Kurt and Brittany, have been alpaca lovers since they first discovered them in 1994. Today, the farm has evolved into more than just alpacas — a lot more!

Tell us about your family and Majestic Meadows.

A little over 25 years ago, we were introduced to Jerry and Libby Forstner, who at the time, owned the most prestigious alpaca breeding program in North America, Magical Farms. The opportunity to volunteer at their farm not only gave us friends who are like family but also gave us the confidence to buy our own alpacas and start our own farm. Open to the public since 1997, it was not until 2018 when we decided to expand beyond just having animals on the farm and opened The Alpaca Boutique that things really changed for us.

What are some unique features of your farm?

On the outside, the animals are the heart of our farm and where our “labor of love” began. It's where the magic happens. On the inside, in either of our two farm stores, is where a different kind of magic happens. Luxurious creativity abounds each year after shearing our alpacas as their fiber gets made into beautiful yarn and handmade products (made by a family friend). Both stores offer a variety of gift items and are a beautiful place to begin or end your visit to our farm to take a little of the magic home with you.

When did you decide to invite the public to enjoy your majestic meadows?

We have been open to the public since 1997 but it was during the pandemic that we decided to change things up a bit since it was important to be outside and distanced, and we felt we had the perfect setting. Visitors appreciated a peaceful interaction with the animals in an outdoor setting.

Besides your beautiful alpacas, what other animals live on your farm?

Llamas, kangaroos, wallabies, goats, donkeys, sheep, pigs, cows, horses, rabbits, turkeys, a tortoise and a camel…and you can interact with them all. We feel it is a very relaxed, clean and family-friendly environment. There is a sense of peace while out in the meadows with our alpacas and animals that you cannot find anywhere else.

What else should we know about Majestic Meadows?

In recent years, we have added themed weekends around holidays such as Halloween Trick or Treat on the Farm, our popular Easter Egg hunt, and Holiday Cheer weekends throughout December. We also offer Goat Yoga every Saturday at 9:00 a.m. throughout the summer as well as our Junior Farm program where kids get to spend some time learning about what we do on the farm. Our busiest time of year is the summer, as we welcome families enjoying their “staycations” right here in Medina.

Our Majestic farm family is very enthusiastic about our animals and our visitors’ experiences. You will always enjoy a clean and friendly atmosphere here and enjoy making special memories for years to come. What more could you ask for?
