Amazon Unveils Next-Gen Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 11 with Upgraded Audio and Smarter Tech
At its fall hardware event, Amazon revealed the next generation of its Echo Show smart displays, introducing the all-new Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 11. Both models feature a sleeker design, smarter performance, and enhanced audio, powered by Amazon’s new AZ3 Pro chip.
The Echo Show 8 sports an 8-inch 720p LCD screen, while the larger Echo Show 11 upgrades to a Full HD display. Both use a new “negative liquid crystal” design that reduces lamination layers for wider viewing angles. A 13-megapixel camera enables the displays to detect and greet users as they approach, enhancing the smart home experience.
Amazon has also given sound quality a major boost. Each model features front-facing stereo speakers, a custom woofer, and full-range drivers positioned beneath the floating display to project immersive spatial audio directly toward the listener. The AZ3 Pro chip not only improves audio performance but also brings more advanced language models to Alexa, making interactions faster and more natural.
The new Echo Shows are available now for preorder, with the Echo Show 8 priced at $179.99 and the Echo Show 11 at $219.99. Both devices will officially launch on November 12.
With sharper displays, smarter processing, and richer sound, Amazon’s latest Echo Show lineup marks a significant leap forward for the company’s smart home ecosystem.
