Three Thanksgivings?
Yes, please!
As many of us celebrate with family this month, Dr. Curtis Guest of Roswell and his family (including baby Will born in September) will be donning stretchy pants for Thanksgiving day and celebrating with three different family households this year. “During the pandemic, and after our daughter Elle was born, we started hosting my wife’s family for a low-key dinner on Thanksgiving day. With my mom’s family, we usually do a potluck where every family brings their favorite dish paired with their favorite beer or wine! Lastly, we usually do a turkey fry and watch football with my dad's family!”
Dr. Guest is one of three dentists at DeMercy Dental in Roswell, first opened in 1986 by Jeff DeMercy, DDS. Jeff wanted to start his private practice in a family-oriented community and Jeff’s father-in-law was influential in persuading him that Roswell was where Atlanta was growing. Jeff and his wife Tammy opened the doors their practice in February 1986.
"At DeMercy Dental our motto is 'making your family our family' so in this instance our family is our staff and patients," says Tammy. Their daughter, Dr. Amanda Kossick joined the practice as a partner in 2013 and had become an important member of the business and of the community.
This year, the extended DeMercy family will spend Thanksgiving together. Dr. DeMercy will deep fry a turkey, with family members contributing side dishes including their beloved corn casserole.
From the DeMercy Family and all of us at Roswell City Lifestyle magazine, Happy Thanksgiving!
