October is here and that means the air is starting to become crisper, the Fall leaves have started to fall, and harvest activities are in full swing! Linder Farms has become one of the state’s most treasured places to visit during this time of year and it’s easy to see why. However, just like seasons come and go, this fall will be Linder Farms last season.
Over the past 16 years, Linder Farms has been an annual tradition for many Treasure Valley families. People of all ages have enjoyed the fields of sunflowers, the petting zoo, pumpkin patch, and the Halloween festivities.
Randy Feist and his wife Sherrie originally started Linder Farms as a hobby, and earlier this year wrote to the community, “we have decided to make this our final season primarily because it is time for our lives to go in a different direction… running this farm and growing it has been a dream come true… After 16 years of running the farm, we are forever grateful that you have made Linder Farms a tradition for your family.
Working with 15 acres of their own, over the years Linder Farms depended on the ability to lease land from adjoining neighbors to accommodate their 20-acre pumpkin patch and 20-acre corn maze. As Meridian grows and developers build more homes, open farmland is coming at a premium which led to the Feist family’s decision to make 2020 their last season.
Randy and Sherrie have worked hard to grow and improve their farm events each year, and 2020 will be no different - they are going to great lengths to make this year a season to remember. For more information: LinderFarms.com
