Apple Pie

Cloverkey Property Management shares a recipe from a favorite holiday tradition

This apple pie recipe has been passed down through our family for three generations, and its simplicity is what makes it timeless. It’s a favorite at every family gathering—a recipe that brings everyone to the table and makes any occasion feel cozy and inviting.
Every year, we carry on a family tradition of visiting our favorite local orchard to pick the apples we’ll use for our holiday pies. There’s something special about choosing each fruit together, bringing home a basket full, and filling the kitchen with the warm scent of cinnamon and sugar.
We wholeheartedly believe that the best traditions are the ones that are intimate and authentic, and we are happy to share ours with you this year.

Taylor is the co-owner of Cloverkey Property Management, where every client is treated like family.

  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon flour

  1. Mix pie dough ingredients and separate into even halves. Cover in plastic wrap and set in fridge to chill for at least two hours before rolling.
  2. Roll out one pie dough and line pie pan.
  3. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  4. Line apples over the bottom pie crust. Mix sugar, flour and spices and sprinkle over the applies. Dot with about a half stick of butter.
  5. Roll out second pie crust and cover apple mixture.
  6. Cover the edge of the pie crust with foil and bake in oven for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
