Opening in December, Prime IV Hydration & Wellness offers ways to not only maintain a healthy lifestyle, but also to strengthen immunity against seasonal illnesses and give the extra boost of energy needed to make it through the holidays. Owner Adrienne Hacker shares how thankful she is for the impact Prime IV has had in her life and why she is partnering with her parents, Reggie and Bonnie Collins, to bring the hydration spa to the CSRA.
How did you hear about IV hydration therapy?
I first learned about IV hydration in 2021. A good friend of mine received it for her migraines and encouraged me to try it, but I never followed through. It wasn't until 2024 that I seriously considered it. I became unexpectedly very ill and even after seeing a doctor, I still wasn't feeling any better. I went to one of the IV hydration spots near where I live in Charlotte and after that visit, I felt like I was finally getting some life back. After that, IV hydration was something I turned to more frequently, especially when I felt fatigued or run down.
How did you learn about Prime IV specifically?
I saw a Facebook announcement that Prime IV was opening in Huntersville. When I looked at the website, everything caught my attention - the beautiful interior, the service menu, the massage chairs, and the membership pricing. So, I was there on opening day. What won me over wasn't just how it looked, it was how I was greeted, the personal attention, and the way they walked me through the process. The whole experience felt different from other IV hydration places I had visited. I switched my membership to Prime IV that day, took advantage of their Founder's membership offer, and quickly became accustomed to that level of care and comfort.
What made you want to open Prime IV in the CSRA?
I work remotely and split my time between Augusta and Charlotte, but Augusta is home. My parents are retired and whenever I came home to Augusta for longer visits, I found myself wishing I could have that same Prime IV Hydration experience here as in Charlotte. I just loved the experience and wanted to bring it home to Augusta. That idea grew into something we could build together as a family.
What does Prime IV offer?
We offer a range of services that go beyond IV hydration, including vitamin and nutrient infusions, injections such as B12, Lipo Lean, and CoQ10, NAD+ therapy, peptides, buccal strips, and compounded bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, also known as CBHRT.
In addition to receiving rejuvenating therapies, clients can settle into a massage chair with cozy socks, a blanket, and an eye mask. We also provide a warm hand towel when you walk in that has lavender scent. Add soothing music and it feels like you're at a spa.
What are the benefits of IV hydration?
The most established benefit of IV hydration is replenishing fluids and electrolytes when someone needs them. IV therapy delivers those fluids and electrolytes directly into the bloodstream. When dehydration is contributing to symptoms such as fatigue or headaches, correcting it may help someone feel better. We have a whole menu of different IV therapy combinations. There are drips for anti-aging, immunity, athletic performance, pre and post operation, and more.
What is NAD+ therapy?
NAD+ is a substance your body naturally produces that helps your cells turn nutrients from food into usable energy. Your cells need that energy to do their everyday jobs, whether that's supporting your muscles, brain, or other organs. NAD+ also helps with processes that repair damage to DNA inside your cells. It can help with your cognitive ability and memory function.
What are buccal strips and how are they used?
Buccal strips are a needle-free way to deliver certain nutrients or peptides to the body. It's basically a thin strip placed against the inside of your cheek where it dissolves and allows the ingredients to be absorbed through the lining of your mouth. So there's no IV, injection, or pill to swallow. The important distinction is that the strip is the delivery method and not one specific treatment. Different strips contain different ingredients.
Tell me more about Prime IV’s Weight Loss Program.
Prime IV’s weight loss program combines prescription treatment, when appropriate, with a personalized plan and ongoing support. It begins with an in-spa consultation and an evaluation by a licensed medical provider to review health history, current medications, and weight management goals. Once a plan is established, our team helps coordinate prescriptions and provides medication instructions. For eligible clients, treatment may include GLP-1 medication. These medications mimic a hormone the body naturally produces that helps regulate appetite and food intake. They can help people feel less hungry and fuller sooner, which may make portion control more manageable and support progress toward a healthier weight.
Throughout the program, follow-up helps the provider monitor progress, address side effects and adjust treatment when needed. Clients also have an opportunity to ask questions and understand what to expect. We also support healthy eating, hydration, and regular physical activity as part of long-term weight management. Depending on individual needs, the medical team may discuss complementary services, such as IV hydration or nutrient injections. The goal is to help clients develop sustainable habits and feel supported throughout the process. Treatment is not appropriate for everyone, and results vary.
Who is a good candidate for what Prime IV has to offer?
It’s great for lots of people from a variety of lifestyles - active adults, busy parents, athletes, and professionals. Before receiving treatment, each client completes a good faith exam, which is a medical evaluation that reviews their health history, medications, and conditions that could affect treatment.
