If the last few months of mercurial weather have caused unforeseen damage to your property, Ricky Heflin of Shelter Insurance on Wards Corner can help. An independent owner of this local Shelter Insurance office since January of 2022, Ricky has a few insights on the importance of an umbrella policy, no matter the season.

If the liability claim is above the policy’s coverage amounts, you would be held personally liable and would have to pay for the excess out-of-pocket. If you have a $1 million umbrella policy, the two policies could provide $1.25–$1.5 million of liability coverage. The umbrella policy extends additional liability protection to your policies.”
