Austin’s very own dedicated, award-winning architect of 40 years, Dick Clark III, who attended The University of Texas School of Architecture and founded Dick Clark Architecture, located in Austin, designed this elegant, modern styled home in year 2000.
Now, 20 years later, River City Construction and Design, as they say, were gifted the opportunity to renovate and refine this architectural gem that currently sits in the Watermark Subdivision in Barton Creek neighborhood.
General Contractor and President of River City, Donny Wills, stated, “Being the ones called to remodel such an amazing house designed and built by Dick Clark is amazing. It shows that we are well trusted in the community to handle such a prestigious and high end project.”
Clark was not only a renowned architect but also remembered for his charitable efforts in Nicaragua where he helped the local government and citizens rebuild homes and restructure the aftermath of the 1972 Nicaragua earthquake that decimated Managua. Interestingly, Mick Jagger and his band raised money during one of their tours in 1973 and donated $300,000 towards the efforts in Nicaragua.
Donny stated that he focused on matching Dick Clark’s style of the home to prevent completely changing the awed design and style in which it originated from.
The River City construction team masterfully accomplished this project recently, and live to share their experience and continue to further their accolades in the community.
They were recommended for job by a fellow custom home builder who knew they would take care of this client and their uniquely designed home. The team confidently took on this project of handling this high end experience which required the crew to use building materials that aren’t regularly used everyday in the home construction industry.
They recently earned the title as an award winning contractor company which included Best Remodeler, Contractor, Builder, Flooring, and Cabinetry.
Donny also stated, “I love standing back and taking pride in creating something so beautiful. I love the look on clients’ faces when they walk in and see the transformation of their home.”
