Architectural Justice Gallery & Café is Instagram Gold

European-Inspired Design and an Expertly-Crafted Menu Foster an Alluring Experience

When you pass through the ten-foot-tall revolving door at Architectural Justice Gallery & Cafe, you'll feel as though you are walking into a European café with marble at every turn, elegant chandeliers and natural light pouring through the large windows. This multi-concept space is a photographer’s dream and has quickly become an Instagram hotspot.

The Early Days

Architectural Justice Gallery & Café was founded in July 2017 by James and Darlene Justice, who also own the Architectural Justice Design Center in Medina. James started the business 34 years ago, and along with his team of talented designers and artisans, has developed Architectural Justice into a complete design destination.

“Our goal was to create a one-of-a-kind destination for people to get inspired and bring creativity and style into their homes,” says James.

The Design

James took inspiration from Cleveland’s industrial past and blended it with European-inspired design when creating the plans for the Gallery & Café. From the ornate columns and detailed metalwork, many design elements you’ll see are reminiscent of 1930s grandeur and elegance.

With natural stone being an integral part of the business at Architectural Justice, James incorporated it into nearly every aspect of the design: “In all, we brought in more than 30 tons of marble and granite from all over the world,” says James.

Shop, Dine, Be Inspired

Architectural Justice Gallery & Café is open daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. As the name suggests, the space is one part café and one part gallery, featuring home decor and gifts. It also acts as another design showroom for Architectural Justice, showcasing interior design elements at every turn along with the design and build capabilities of the Architectural Justice team.

In addition to shopping and dining, many events take place at the Gallery & Café, such as cooking classes, art activities and even fitness events like yoga classes. The Gallery & Café is also the perfect atmosphere for private events such as baby, bridal and wedding showers.

Dine in the Café

The Café's menu features an eclectic mix of brunch items, handhelds, salads and flatbreads. It is a popular spot for coffee drinkers with a great list of specialty brews like the Sweet Bee Latte (espresso, honey, cinnamon and steamed almond milk) or the Frozen Mocha Malt (espresso, malt powder, chocolate syrup and Hartzler chocolate milk). Popular, Instagram-worthy dishes include the Chicken & Waffles, featuring sweet liege waffles topped with spicy maple syrup, as well as the healthy and refreshing Acai Bowl topped with berries, banana, granola, chia seeds, coconut and honey.

"The inspiration for the cafe's design and menu came from Mediterranean cafés, combining a beautiful, comfortable atmosphere with great food," says Darlene.

Shop the Gallery

From custom-designed furniture by the Architectural Justice Artisans to gift-able items, the Gallery offers a range of pieces for any occasion. “We source handcrafted items and unique home decor from vendors in Cleveland and abroad,” explains Darlene.
