What inspired you to be a singer?
The entire reason my mother’s side of the family immigrated from Mexico was so my great-aunt could study opera at Juilliard. I like to joke that I was born singing. So, there was never really a time that I wasn’t a singer, so I can’t imagine being or doing anything else.
What is your musical style?
My setlist is full of pop, with sprinkles of R&B, soul, and a little funk. I like to think of my style as vibey pop meets soulful easy listening.
What holiday song holds special meaning for you?
I can’t hear “Christmas Time Is Here” without getting a little sentimental. My family watches A Charlie Brown Christmas every single year, so all of the music holds a very special place in my heart.
How does music bring people together?
Whether it’s Christmas caroling with friends or seeing your little ones singing in a holiday concert, music is so good at connecting us to each other. It also brings a little extra cheer to those who might have a harder time around the holidays.
