Over 1400 miles away in Hollywood stands the Magic Castle club, a private clubhouse for magicians and the world headquarters of the Academy of Magical Arts. Bill Bentz’s parents fell in love at this club, and Bill came along a few years later. The intrigue around his parent’s favorite date night location led this Highland Village resident to a lifetime of travel and wonder.
After receiving his first magic kit at the age of five, Bill started performing for his family. “As a young child I saw the fun that magic can bring to people's lives, and I was enchanted. My magic career has come full circle as now I am one of a very few Texas magicians to regularly perform at the world-famous Magic Castle!”
As a professional magician for over twenty-five years, Bill shares his love of the performing arts with others. Bill explains, “I have performed in all 50 states and over 20 countries. No matter what has happened in your life that day, during my show, I can take your attention away from any problem and give you positive, lifelong memories.
“Whether I’m performing in China, Japan, Italy, France, or the USA, people are the same and love to see the strange and impossible made manifest. It's addicting to bring this childlike wonder into the minds of audiences of all ages. Creating lifelong memories and connections fills my heart with love and joy.”
While Bill has had the pleasure of performing all over the world, he firmly believes there’s no place like home. Last year, he was the headline act for the Texas Association of Magicians convention in Arlington, and he continues to perform, on average, 15 shows in North Texas every month.
