Jennifer Bruno
Born and raised in Southwick, Jennifer is a representational artist who paints in acrylic and oil. She primarily paints pets along with many other various landscapes, floral, and abstract paintings. Her art is inspired by life and imagination. "I paint what is around me, so you can find me at home in the garden, or with my cats," states Jennifer. "I love to put personality into my art work, making bold smart statements and I love bright colors," she continues. "I'm not afraid to experiment with line, textures, color, value, form and space." While Jennifer's fans love to see her classic sunflowers and garden paintings, she does like to have a sense of humor when it comes to her art, as well.
Recently Jennifer's art work can be seen flying high over Southwick streets in a banner that she painted for Celebrate Southwick 250. "I think it is such a great idea, and I’m very thankful that my art was selected!!" said Jennifer. For the past 5 years, Jennifer has been donating her art as raffles for events like "Band Jam," which raises money for the Southwick Animal Shelter. "As a former member of Southwick Arts Council, I have participated in 30 juried art shows in the last 10 years. Including Art Takes Times Square 2012 and 2013. Nicole Wzorek Designs, founded 3 years ago and located in Westfield, has been creating custom bridal gowns, special occasion garments, accessories, lingerie and more. Her designs have been featured in many fashion shows in the Boston and Western MA areas. As the owner, designer and alteration specialist, Nicole takes great pleasure in working with brides and other clients, to be able to sketch their abstract ideas down on paper to help bring those dreams to reality. "The art of creating something out of nothing is what inspired me to start designing. I love all art forms, and I enjoy being able to see a creation evolve the more I work on the project. I love when a client comes to me with a million ideas, and I can bring their vision to life! I work with many brides and I enjoy being able to make their wedding day even more special. For the special occasion clients, my joy comes from seeing how excited the ladies get when they finally see their custom garment," exclaims Nicole.
Nicole takes pride in knowing she has a hand in every step of the design process. She loves being able to share this process with her clients,while creating a personal and unique experience. Nicole also does alterations, and will work with clients to ensure their garment fits exactly how they want it. Nicole Wzorek Designs is a privately owned shop, available by appointment only, to help everyone fall in love with their special piece. “Art is what you make of it. It is expressive and can be anything your dreams can imagine. Being able to see my dresses and artwork become more beautiful with every day that I work on them is what I enjoy about practicing design. I love that I can create something that is uniquely my own and enjoy seeing what the end product looks like!” shares Nicole.
