Meet the Team Behind Warner Parks Family Dental

Together with his wife, Anne Walker, Dr. Bob Wilson, DMD, has had a milestone year. They celebrated the first anniversary of their dental practice, Warner Parks Family Dental, and also the birth of their first child, a baby girl. Now, this family-owned business is looking ahead to a new year and all the excitement it’s sure to bring.

A Georgia native, Dr. Wilson attended the University of Georgia and Medical College of Georgia, completing a residency program where he learned how to do dental implants, work with medically compromised patients, and treat complex dental cases. He joined a thriving multi-generational, family-owned practice in Georgia, where one of his greatest lessons was learned.

“I could tell that they were not just doing dentistry; they were really taking care of their patients and in practice for the right reasons,” he says. “It was very down-to-earth. They were not intimidating, and at the same time extremely professional and kind. I knew coming out that I wanted to learn from someone who had established this type of practice. A lot of our philosophies lined up.”

After six years honing his skills in Georgia, Dr. Wilson met his wife, Anne Walker, a Vanderbilt graduate and Nashville native. They moved to Nashville with a dream to open a dental practice with the same honest, patient-focused approach. In November 2022, that dream became a reality. They acquired a practice from a retiring dentist, renovated the interiors, and upgraded the equipment to state-of-the-art technology for diagnostic care and patient education.

The team expanded to include front office manager Kayla Jackson, who brings 10+ years of customer care to her daily interactions with patients, and dental hygienist Megan Barrows, a Kansas City-born, but Bellevue-based Navy veteran.

“One thing I’ve always thought of in life is to focus on the quality and the quantity will follow,” Dr. Wilson adds. “We give special attention to our patients, really listen to them, and ensure we’re doing the best work we can do. We never judge our patients, we’re just so proud of them for taking the first step in showing up to receive care.”

Why Warner Parks? The Wilsons have a Boykin spaniel, Henry, who would become an integral part of the story of their practice. He loves to run and play fetch, which led the pair to explore all of Nashville’s public parks, Edwin and Percy Warner included.

“We decided to call it Warner Parks Family Dental because it was our goal to create a very calming and peaceful experience, just like visiting the Warner Parks,” Dr. Wilson adds. “It’s regenerative, it promotes health and being outdoors. We try to let people know we aren’t corporate, but a local, family-owned practice.”

Warner Parks Family Dental offers a variety of services, from family care, to cosmetic, surgical, and emergency services. In addition, the team is proud to be a supporter of local schools and of course, local parks.

“Because our practice is privately owned, we are able to provide excellent continuity of care for our patients,” Dr. Wilson says. “It allows us to have a really personal relationship and custom experience. I want to be your trustworthy, hometown dentist.”
