Asus Unveils the World’s Fastest OLED Monitor
Asus has raised the bar for competitive gaming with the debut of its new ROG Swift OLED
PG27AQWP-W, the world’s fastest OLED monitor. This 27-inch display can hit an astounding
540Hz at 2K resolution, or an unprecedented 720Hz at 720p, a refresh rate that pushes the
boundaries of what’s possible in esports.
Built with a tandem WOLED panel, the monitor boasts brighter output, wider color gamut
coverage, better endurance, and improved power efficiency compared to standard OLEDs. It also
features a TrueBlack Glossy coating to reduce glare, plus HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1a
UHBR20 for ultra-high bandwidth.
For added longevity, Asus includes a Neo Proximity Sensor that turns off the screen when you
step away, helping to conserve power and reduce burn-in risk. Design-wise, the PG27AQWP-W
stands out with a translucent silver rear panel, a nostalgic nod to the transparent tech trend of
the 90s.
Pricing and release details remain under wraps, but with specs like these, Asus is clearly aiming
squarely at the hardcore gamer and esports community.
