Jason Wade with Charis Realty Group took an unconventional career path when he ventured from the jewelry business into real estate. He says that the two fields aren’t as different as one may think, explaining that both require professionals to define a customer’s taste and needs and find that perfect gem of a home.

“My experience as a jeweler for 15 years provided me with a deep understanding of customer service, negotiation, and attention to detail,” says the third-generation Potomac native, who calls Palatine home.

He’s still using that intuitive knack for anticipating a client’s needs as a real estate developer and investor in Bethesda, Chase Chase, Potomac, and Rockville. Wade has worked with dignitaries and high-net-worth individuals who demand the best. “By leveraging my knowledge and research, I have helped them acquire undervalued properties, form strategic partnerships with local builders, and achieve impressive returns.”

Wade’s expertise is in rental properties with a focus on cash-flowing investments. He prides himself on the ability to guide clients through the tricky acquisition terrain, which can include a variety of dizzying options like duplexes, triplexes, and multifamily units. But his laser focus on “implementing effective management strategies” allows his clients to see the best pick for them.

When he’s not closing deals, you can find Wade hanging out with his kids in the kitchen (his favorite room of the house), or helping the PTA at Potomac Elementary School. He prepares for a busy day with coffee on his bedroom balcony and unwinds with walks through Greenbriar Park. Jason is also a frequent diner at Christophe Boulangerie which carries his favorite baguettes. His inspiration for a good life and career is never far away with his collection of giraffe art at home. “It reminds me of my grandfather who was an executive with Toys'R'Us,” he says.
