In Natural Body Bodybuilding there is no bigger title than the INBA PNBA Natural Olympia. The INBA PNBA is a WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) tested organization to ensure that their athletes are 100% natural and not using any performance enhancing drugs. Bodybuilders from around the world come to Las Vegas once a year in November to compete for the coveted title of Mr. or Mrs. Natural Olympia within their perspective category.

This past weekend Grand Junction local Danielle Bouldin won the title of “Mrs. Olympia Sports Model”. Danielle is a full-time second-grade teacher at Dual Immersion Academy who has been competing in Natural Body Building for 3 years. She won her PRO qualification at the INBA PNBA Colorado State Championships held here in Grand Junction in August of 2020. She made her professional debut this past July, winning the title of Mrs. America in Allen, Texas. In only her second outing as a professional bodybuilder in the Sports Model class, she won the biggest title in the sport. To put this in perspective, people compete their whole lives and never win the title or Olympia Gold. To win it on your first attempt is very, very rare, much less your second time competing as a PRO. It is unheard of.

Danielle also owns and trains out of BioFit Aesthetically Based Fitness, a local private personal training studio on North Ave. When Danielle started her fitness journey three years ago she was 57 pounds overweight. In the beginning, she had no plans to enter the world of natural bodybuilding but at the urging of her trainer, she entered her first show winning the novice bikini division. Over the past three years, she has earned her personal training certification and her Sports nutrition certification, in addition to her PRO Body Building Card.

Being a full-time bilingual second-grade teacher and a professional bodybuilder isn’t an easy thing to do. Danielle’s day begins at 4:30 am and doesn’t end till as late as 11 pm on some nights. Having to prepare all her food and get in three gym sessions a day, is time-consuming, to say the least. It takes a very high level of discipline to be able to work full time and compete at the professional level of the sport. Danielle’s first passion will always be her students, but overall health and wellness are a close second.
