Grapes that taste like Sour Patch Kids? You have got to be kidding. The thought of the sweet, sour, and highly calorific snack, Sour Patch Kids, sounded delicious. Instead of running to the convenience store to purchase a box, I decided to try the Sour Patch Kids Grapes Hack. Quite frankly, it sounded too good to be true and it intrigued me. The Sour Patch Grapes video has been circling online and I heard it was really simple to make. So, I gave it a try and was stunned at how much these Sour Patch Grapes tasted like Sour Patch Kids.

Recipe

  • 2.5-3 Cups Green Grapes
  • 1 Lime
  • 1Tsp. Splenda or Stevia (optional)
  • Rinse and clean the grapes.
  • Pull the grapes from the stem.
  • Cut the green grapes longways and place them in a bowl.
  • Cut one lime and squeeze the juice into the bowl of grapes.
  • You can always use less lime or more lime, dependent on how sour you want your grapes to taste.
  • Stir.

They taste good now, but just wait!

  • Add 1 teaspoon Splenda or Stevia to grapes (The lime juice helps the crystals dissolve.)
  • Stir.
  • Freeze.

Freezing the grapes give them a more tart and harder texture that mimics Sour Patch Kids. Putting them in the freezer for 15 minutes made these Sour Patch Grapes taste great, leaving them in the freezer for two hours made them delicious. They taste so flavorful and you get both the sweet and sour taste you expect in Sour Patch Kids.
