there's no better time for a backyard celebration

The 4th of July is only a few days away - and with most firework shows being cancelled, there's no better time for a backyard celebration. This patriotic holiday is one of my faves. What could be more classic than red, white and blue?

It's always fun to put together a tablescape that fits the occasion but isn't too over the top. The good news is all of these pieces could be re-utilized for multiple themes or events. I knew I wanted to highlight the desserts, and oh my goodness the snow cone and bomb pop sugar cookies from Dolce Bakery were almost too pretty to eat - almost. Nothing Bundt Cakes conveniently has a red velvet cake. I ordered it that morning, and was able to pick it up before lunch. Bonus points that they have patriotic decorations available as well. The plate settings were from Hobby Lobby, and that adorable wooden cutlery is from Target One Spot. The seagrass tumblers and pitcher are from Pink Antler Studio and bring in a much needed neutral element that is the perfect everyday summer set.

The floral centerpiece from Flowers by Emily may seem simple at first glance, it's anything but. This arrangement was nothing short of gorgeous. Keeping all the flowers white really allowed them to pop against the star table runner and red checkered place settings. Bonus: you get to enjoy them all week long!

The red, white and blue balloons from Confetti Pop KC are such a fun addition. It makes the perfect Insta backdrop and they actually last for days. It's one of my very favorite parts. They're super customizable and Chez was an absolute delight to work with.

Once everything's set up there's nothing to do but sit back and enjoy - while social distancing of course.
