While ladies love having their GNOs, or “girls night out," we all know men love their version of that as well. So here's why you should take your next "guys night out" to Bacchus of Lebanon in Bethesda.
The restaurant was recently renovated and added an enclosed heated patio. When remodeling, restaurant owner Zaid Barsoom says he wanted to differentiate his restaurant and "find a form of entertainment that was unlike anywhere else in the area."
What better way to fit the Middle Eastern theme than a belly dancer? Performances are on Fridays and Saturdays starting at 8:30PM, and if you're lucky, you may be called to participate and dance with her.
Bacchus of Lebanon has a wide selection of Whiskey, Bourbon, beer, cocktails, wine, and more to get the night started. Are you brave enough to try the traditional Arak Ksara? A Lebanese favorite, the cocktail is made with grapes and aniseed. And for the most important part, let's get to the food.
Bacchus offers a variety of Middle Eastern halal plates including lamb, veal, beef, chicken, salmon, and vegetarian options. Zaid says the “Warm mezze, hummus, Shrimp or Drummets, Soujok,” are some of the fan favorite appetizers, and the “Lamb Chops, Veal Chop, Variety Kabob, Branzino” for the main dish.
So next time you gather the guys, plan your dinner at Bacchus, sit at the trendy bar or outdoor patio, stay to watch the belly dance show, then bar hop to your favorite sports dive to keep the night going!
