BackFlash: Music Beats Breast Cancer

Local musicians take to the stage to rock a special Breast Cancer Fundraiser Event!

On Saturday, November 5, several local musicians will come together for a fun night of music and
prizes to raise money for Emory Winship Breast Center.

Karen Tortoriello, one of Johns Creek’s finest lead vocalists and a two-time survivor of an aggressive form of breast cancer, has revived her old band BackFlash for the event! Familiar already to many area music fans, BackFlash always delivers a high energy, wide-ranging mix of material covering Motown, 70s classic rock, 80s power pop, and so much more!

Joining Karen on stage will be fellow Johns Creek musicians Mark Faupel, Bob Jones, Dean Petrie, Randy Rich, and local guitar hero Jimmy Velordi. This year, we are thrilled that Johns Creek’s newly remodeled Abbott’s Bar and Grill will be hosting this special event.

So whether you have firsthand experience or know a friend or loved one who has been impacted, please join the community on November 5 for a night of great music, great food and a great cause!

Cash donations at the door and several 50/50 cash drawings. Contributions at WinshipCancer.Emory.Edu

Donations through the site are fully tax deductible.
Thanks in advance to everyone who will contribute to making this year’s event a success!
