Baked brie is one of the most enjoyable appetizers at any time of the year. Brie stuffed with cranberry preserves, bacon for a crunch factor, wrapped in a puff pastry. Mhm! For sure a crowd pleaser!

Ingredients:

1 Wheel of brie cheese

1 Sheet of puff pastry (½ package)

1 Jar of cranberry preserves

1 Cup of bacon

1 Egg

Directions:

  1. Place the brie in the freezer while you take out the puff pastry to thaw. About 30 minutes

  2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.

  3. Roll the puff pastry out using a rolling pin

  4. Slice the frozen brie in half. Place one half on the center of the puff pastry. Spread the cranberry preserves on top.

  5. Top with bacon then place the other half of brie on top. Fold the pastry around to completely cover the cheese. Brush the fold with egg wash. The egg wash is to keep the brie from leaking. Remember egg acts as glue for pastry dough.

  6. Place the brie on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the center of the oven.

  7. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.

  8. Let it cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
