A True Entrepreneur
Adam Greenberg, founder of Restaurant Zone Inc., began his career with Cone Zone in 1992 before purchasing Potomac Pizza in 1995 and expanding it to five locations. He later launched Bagels ’n Grinds (2012) and now operates nine restaurants, including Hunter’s Bar & Grill, building a strong multi-brand presence across the region.
Three Potomac Village Restaurants, a Stone's Throw Apart
Potomac Pizza and Bagels ’n Grinds are in Potomac Promenade at Falls and River Roads, with Hunter’s Bar & Grill directly across the intersection. Fun fact: Bagels ’n Grinds occupies the former site of Hunter’s Inn and Potomac Village Deli, and all three now share a connected seating area.
Potomac Pizza
Potomac Pizza was originally located on the lower level of the shopping center where Giant Foods is now. In 1986, this favorite restaurant moved to the current upper level. Adam purchased Potomac Pizza from the original owners in 1995. It's a community-minded place that not only serves pizza and other Italian dishes but also hosts birthday parties and fundraising events. Pizza-making demonstrations are offered at local schools.
Bagels 'n Grinds
Bagels ’n Grinds delivers authentic New York–style must-try bagels, thanks to an in-house water system that replicates the pH and mineral content of Catskill Mountain water. Beyond bagels and cream cheeses, the menu features all-day breakfast sandwiches, deli sandwiches, wraps, salads, soups, baked goods, coffee, and specialty drinks, all made with their proprietary ultra-purified water.
Hunter's Bar and Grill
Hunter's Inn, renamed Hunter's Bar and Grill in 2014, is the "Cheers of Potomac," a local favorite since the late 1980s. Dan Seaman is the general manager and co-owner of Hunter's.
Chef Tennille “Chef Tee” Middleton is the corporate chef for all Restaurant Zone restaurants and the executive chef of Hunter's Bar & Grill, where she leads kitchen operations. Chef Tee, a Hell's Kitchen alum, brings more than fifteen years of executive-chef experience and has recently upgraded the Hunter's menu.
Hunter’s Bar & Grill also serves as a gathering place for local civic and political life. General Manager Dan Seaman notes that Maryland State Senator Brian Feldman has a plaque at one of the booths. Feldman represented District 15 in the Maryland House of Delegates (2003–2013) and has served in the Senate since 2013, often meeting fellow officials at Hunter’s.
Creating Welcoming Community Spaces
A Maryland native, Adam lives in Potomac with his wife Courtney, where they raised their three children. He also serves as president of the Potomac Chamber of Commerce. Across his businesses, Greenberg's stated goal is to serve good food while creating welcoming community spaces where people can connect.
