".... You cannot out run your truth. At some point, you must either fight it out or perish. And if that be so, why not here and where you stand?"
There is a wealth of knowledge centered around tea. Processing of tea leaves that provide the differences in white, green, oolong, and black teas, where tea is grown and the impact of altitude, flavor, and health benefits. While valuable, fostering an experience with tea leads us deeper waters. Stillness.
In an effort to avoid those waters, whether intentional or not, we stay busy. But, over time, busy begins to feel like a burden. We strategically schedule busyness to avoid stillness. Stillness comes at a cost. It opens the door for connection, recognizing pain, confronting a problem, and seeing ourselves and lives for what they truly are, not as we would have them be. Ironically we avoid the very thing that would heal us.
Truth is not complicated, but it is difficult. Sometimes it just takes steeping in some hot water to see the beauty of its release.
