Shopping, friends and lunch at Waterside's newest cafe

Our publisher, Greg Dodge recently popped into Santa Fe Café News & Espresso, newly opened at Waterside Shops in North Naples. Since the closing of Starbucks nearly 3 years ago, shoppers and employees of businesses within the upscale shopping area have been anxiously awaiting the opening of a coffee stop and affordable eatery. Located next door to Max Mara, Santa Fe Café, meets that need and more!  The restaurant is a step up from ordinary fast-casual dining, with a modern, open atmosphere and original dishes for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Not only are shoppers discovering Santa Fe, but the café is quickly becoming a new destination for casual dining in the North Naples area.

Santa Fe Café is locally owned and is operated under the direction of General Manager, Lucas Mautone, long-time Naples resident and former food and beverage manager and sommelier at La Playa Beach and Golf Resort in North Naples. “I am thrilled to take on this role at Santa Fe Cafe,” said Mautone. “Our menu is fresh, original and something that visitors to Waterside Shops have been wanting to experience. We are pleased to provide a another dining option for those looking for a quick meal, smoothie or great cup of coffee or espresso.”

Meet up with friends for breakfast and dip into omelets, eggs benedict, lox salmon, and breakfast sandwiches, as well as pastries. The lunch and dinner menu specializes in American and Italian dishes, as well as compelling Argentinian selections. From specialty burgers and hand-crafted sandwiches to salads, pastas, empanadas, and more, the menu offers something for a wide variety of palettes.

Santa Fe Cafe also features a gourmet espresso bar and juice bar with fresh-squeezed juices, and vegetable and fruit smoothies.  If you're toasting, by all means, order a mimosa, bellini, beer, or glass of wine.

Santa Fe Café features comfortable indoor and outdoor table seating (next to the beautiful fountains of Waterside), as well as counter seating.  The restaurant is open Monday through Wednesday from 9am to 6pm, Thursday and Friday until 7pm, Saturday until 6pm and Sunday until 5pm. The menu is fresh, the prices are reasonable and the vibe is on-point at Santa Fe Café News & Espresso.
