Enjoy and indulge unique cuisines near you

Some say that the way to someone’s heart is through their stomach– and they’re right. Dishes cooked to perfection, made from scratch and designed specifically for your taste buds are euphoric and bingeworthy. Tualatin Valley City Lifestyle has investigated cuisines that are worthy of your attention so that you may satisfy your stomach, and your mind.

1. Avanti Restaurant and Bar - Pork chop and savory bread pudding

This Lan-Roc pork rack soaks for three and a half days in a cider brine and one day in apple wood smoke to obtain its juicy and savory flavor. It is then frenched and cut, grilled to perfection and put in the oven to finish. French onion savory bread pudding with gruyere cheese is added to the plate to pair beautifully with the meat.

2. Tree's Restaurant and Catering - Seafood pasta

Dive into a delicious combination of clams and shrimp tossed with fresh pesto, sun-dried tomatoes, and mushrooms, all simmered in a rich white wine butter sauce and served over perfectly cooked linguine with garlic. Finished with a side of irresistible Tortuga bread—perfect for soaking up every last drop of that flavorful sauce.

3. Three Mermaid's Public House - House burger with Brie

The Three Mermaid’s House Burger is stacked with creamy Brie, crisp lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, and house-made garlic aioli, all on a fresh pub bun from Portland French Bakery. Their burger patty is locally sourced fresh-ground beef, with every patty being hand-formed. The Three Mermaid’s works with local distributors and source quality ingredients to create a flavorful, satisfying burger. Perfection you can taste in every bite.

4. La Industria - Smoked brisket wedge salad

This version of a wedge salad is similar to the classic but with a Tex-Mex flair. It starts with a quarter wedge of Iceberg lettuce. The toppings include Rogue Smokey blue cheese, pico de gallo, thin slices of  watermelon radish, chives, and blue cheese dressing that's made in house. The final component is the brisket. It is hickory smoked for about 10 hours every day and is carved fresh for every order.
