Located at 13617 Fitzhugh Road in West Austin, Little Spark Studio began with something Bre wished existed for her own children. As a mother searching for activities they would truly enjoy, she imagined a place where creativity, movement, play, and celebration could all exist under one roof.
Transforming that idea into reality became a family effort, from painting and designing the studio to developing its programs. Today, families can enjoy open craft sessions, movement classes, themed events, and birthday celebrations that inspire confidence, curiosity, and connection.
We caught up with Bre to learn how motherhood inspired Little Spark Studio and why creating a place where children can explore, imagine, and simply be themselves has become her greatest joy.
What inspired you to open Little Spark Studio, and why was this the right time?
Little Spark Studio was inspired by my experience as a mom and my desire to create a place where kids could be creative, active, and themselves. I wanted it to feel fun and magical for children, but also welcoming and enjoyable for parents.
West Austin has so many growing families, but I felt there was a need for something that brought all these experiences together. After dreaming about the concept, the right opportunity came along. It felt like the moment to take the leap, trust the idea, and bring Little Spark Studio to life.
Tell us about yourself and your journey to create this space for West Austin families.
I am a mom of two and a business owner with a love for creativity, movement, and bringing people together. Becoming a mom changed the way I viewed community and family experiences. I was searching for activities my kids would love while imagining how those experiences could feel more thoughtful, creative, and special.
Little Spark grew from those ideas. The journey has been a family effort, from designing and painting the studio to building programs and preparing for our opening. It has been exciting, challenging, and incredibly rewarding to watch something that once lived in my imagination become a place for West Austin families to gather, connect, and create memories together.
What makes Little Spark Studio different, and what can visitors expect?
Little Spark Studio brings creativity, movement, play, and celebration together in one colorful, playful, welcoming space. Families can enjoy crafts, our foam pit and play areas, movement classes, themed events, and birthday celebrations.
We designed the studio to encourage creativity without pressure. There is no “perfect” project here. Children are encouraged to make their own choices and create something that feels personal to them, giving them the freedom to explore, experiment, and discover at their own pace.
During a first visit, families can expect a warm welcome, activities that can be adapted for different ages, and opportunities to create and play together. Our goal is for each child to leave feeling proud, capable, and excited about what they made, while parents feel the experience was easy, meaningful, and fun.
What are some of your favorite activities, parties, or events at the studio?
I love our weekly Open Craft & Play sessions because families can stop in, create the featured craft, and enjoy time together. During themed events, we combine crafts, movement, spa glam, character appearances, sweet treats, and imaginative play to create an experience.
Our birthday celebrations can include a craft party, a glam experience, or a combination of activities designed around the child. Seeing their excitement when they walk into the room is one of the best parts of what we do.
What additions can visitors expect from Little Spark Studio?
We plan to introduce more seasonal events, workshops, movement classes, mom-and-me experiences, parents’ nights, and opportunities for instructors and small businesses to collaborate with us.
I am excited to expand our programming for different ages so children can return and discover something new. We are getting started, and I cannot wait to see the studio evolve alongside the families in our community, becoming a place where children feel known, inspired, and excited to create.
