Blue Moon

A spirit-free mocktail to celebrate a new year of joy and wellness 

In light of the new year, with its dreams, goals, and resolutions, comes the desire to live happy and healthy in the coming months. As we start the year off with a focus on wellness, shake up this spirit-free mocktail and dream about the months to come. May the following months be filled with joy and prosperity, with troubles coming to your door only once in a blue moon. 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 ounce Blueberry Lavender Syrup
  • 1 ounce Lime Juice
  • 4 ounces Q Mixers Ginger Beer

Directions:

  • Place a few ice cubes into a copper mug
  • Measure out the blueberry lavender syrup and the lime juice and pour over your ice
  • Top with the ginger beer
  • Skewer several blueberries to garnish the drink
  • Enjoy!

Blueberry Lavender Syrup: Add ¼ cup sugar, 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries and ½ cup water into a saucepan over medium-high heat. Cook until the sugar is dissolved and then add 1 teaspoon dried lavender buds. Bring to a boil, mashing the berries and stirring constantly. Boil for 4-5 minutes and then remove from heat. Allow to cool and then strain, discarding the solids. Store in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 4 weeks.
