Blue Tie Guy Ambassadors

Nonprofit of the Month Sponsored by Artisan Masonry & Granite

The Blue Tie Guy Ambassadors for Children’s Advocacy Center for Rockwall County (CACRC) are a group of businessmen and leaders committed to supporting the CACRC’s goals and mission. Each Blue Tie Guy Ambassador serves a minimum of a one-year term, with a fundraising goal of $2,500. They also commit to coordinating at least one community training session for child abuse awareness and reporting, and at least 10 volunteer hours per year.

The Children’s Advocacy Center for Rockwall County is a nonprofit organization serving children impacted by abuse, trafficking, or having witnessed a violent crime. Families are referred to the CACRC by a member of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), which includes law enforcement agencies and Child Protective Services (CPS). Forensic interviews are conducted by a member of the CACRC staff to ensure a trauma-informed and age-appropriate approach. While the CACRC is a non-investigative agency, they help provide a comprehensive response when a child makes an outcry of abuse, helping support the family on a path of healing by providing counseling and family advocacy services--completely free of charge.

The Blue Tie Guy Ambassadors help the team at the CACRC in part by increasing awareness about child abuse in Rockwall County. They host two annual events benefitting ongoing programming at the CACRC: Family Fun Fest at Dallas Karting Complex on Father’s Day weekend 2025, and Bourbon with the Boys at Sear Steakhouse & Lounge in the fall.

“The importance of initiatives like Blue Tie Guy Ambassadors can’t be underestimated,” says Bobby Gladu with Artisan Masonry & Granite LLC. Gladu has served as a Blue Tie Guy Ambassador for several years. As the community of Rockwall continues to grow, Bobby knows that so too will the need for the services offered at the CACRC. He is excited to continue his support for the community in his renewed term as a Blue Tie Guy Ambassador again this year.

To get involved and support the efforts of the Blue Tie Guy Ambassadors, check out the CACRC website at www.rockwallcac.org or email Donor Relations Coordinator Sarah Ryan at sryan@rockwallcac.org. Applications to become a Blue Tie Guy Ambassador open every year in January with the new class beginning in March.
