Achieve Your Skin Care Goals in 2022 with Aesthetic MD at Skin + Allergy Center of Murfreesboro

“New Year, New Me” — it's a phrase we come across often after the ceremonial ball drop in  Times Square. Suddenly, our Instagram timelines and Facebook feeds are full of hopeful resolutions and declarations of dreams that will-be-made-true this trip around the sun. It’s an inspiring time, one that often provides the push that we need to finally prioritize ourselves, with  “practice better self-care” at the top of many lists. But what about the more personal resolutions? The ones that address our deepest insecurities; the ones that are quite literally just below the surface of our skin? That’s where Aesthetic MD at Skin + Allergy Center of  Murfreesboro comes in.

Founded 15 years ago by Dr. Chris Robb, the trusted medical practice has branched out to include a wide range of cosmetic services, touting meticulous technique, advanced technology, and old-fashioned patient-centered care.

“If you have a skin concern, we’ve got you covered,” says LPN Sara Hamlin. “If you have pesky  little brown spots you want to get rid of, or some wrinkles you want to get rid of…acne, scar  treatments, stretch marks — anything cosmetic, we can handle that.”

Pre-dominantly a laser center — with Dr. Robb being a world-class Sciton representative —  Aesthetic MD has since added injectables, micro-needling, chemical peels, and skincare to their list of services. But the treatment they’re most excited about as we ring in the New Year?  The MOXI Laser.

“Not many people have devices like this yet because it’s new. It can re-texturize the skin and help with pigment with maybe a day or two of downtime, if that. And it’s safe for all skin types!  In the laser world, in the past, it’s been an issue to treat darker skin types; because if you’re trying to help with pigment, and someone already has pigment in their skin, it can affect their natural skin tone — which no one wants to do. MOXI avoids all-natural pigment, so it’s safe for all skin types. We can finally say a laser for all skin types!” Hamlin tells me excitedly.

Her enthusiasm continues as she shares a patient success story about a woman who struggled for years with brown spots.

“She kept getting more and they were really affecting her self esteem. She didn’t like to be out in public or take pictures because they bothered her so much — and then her son’s wedding was coming up! So she finally came to see what lasers could do about it. I had a laser that I  used to help remove and lighten them — and she was basically crying because she was so happy. She just felt more confident in her skin afterwards. Especially for her son’s wedding —  getting rid of these spots that she had for years and years that kept her from wanting to go out  in public and socialize with people because she was so self conscious about them.”

Even Murfreesboro’s youth has seen the positive effects of what treatments at Aesthetic MD  can do.

“Teenagers struggling with acne will come in and barely look at you because they don’t have the confidence to talk face-to-face with someone. But after a series of treatments, they come in and they’re smiling, looking at me in the eye just saying how happy they are with the results.  You’re bringing people their self confidence back, which ultimately helps their overall life in general,” Hamlin finishes.

But what about affordability? Is it realistic to think that such high quality care could be accessible to everyone, especially as we continue to weather the effects of an economy crushing pandemic?

The simple answer is Yes.

“We have things that start at $50 — a lot of people don’t even realize that something could  cost only $50!” Hamlin posits. “We also have payment plans and monthly memberships that include a group of different services depending on what tier you choose. And for people who don’t know where to start, we do offer no charge consultations — just to take the time to educate people and tailor a skincare regimen to their unique skin type, because not everyone is going to benefit from the same things! It doesn’t have to be thousands of dollars, either. We  can customize to your budget, as well.”
