The start of the year always brings to mind the idea of trying new things, learning new skills, and making a commitment to something. With Eastin Aviation you can broaden your skillset and your horizons, instead of hoping to spread your wings and fly, you can learn to fly.
Eastin Aviation, owned and operated by Brent Eastin, is more than just a flight school. They are the solution for all aviation needs. They offer a range of services and for those things they don’t provide, their network of partnerships ensures that you are always in good hands. After talking with Brent though, it is obvious that the heart behind Eastin Aviation is the love and joy of flying. It’s the simple appreciation, the thought of wow, I get to fly, that is the heart behind everything they do.
With a variety of programs, Eastin Aviation is bringing up the next generation of pilots with their license programs along equipping pilots with add-on options. Whether you want to become a commercial pilot and fly with airlines, you want to be able to fly yourself for fun, or you want to become someone who teaches the next generation, you will find your perfect program at Eastin Aviation.
Brent Eastin grew up in an entrepreneur family. He was born in Seattle, after his parents moved there from New Mexico, pursing an interest and passion for Windsurfing. They were professional Windsurfers and ran an instructional school. Eventually, his father got into auto glass and moved the family to Fountain Hills, AZ and started a new business. They would move around a few more times before Brent would go to college at Fort Louis, majoring in economics with a minor in business and administration.
Economics seems like a weird starting point to land in aviation, when asked, Brent was quick to laugh and explain how he realized that anything dealing with his degree would require more degrees and more school time. At the end of the day, Brent didn’t want to be behind a desk. He went to work for his parents’ company before biting the bullet and going to aviation school—ATP at Mesa Gateway. (Thanks to his dad for getting his pilot’s license when Brent was a child, exposing him to the possibility).
During flight school, Brent’s plan was to pursue the commercial pilot path—the one that lead to working with airlines. However, he started working with flight schools and the more he taught, the business that we know as Eastin Aviation was taking place. Business was never something he aspired to; it came naturally to him and he realized, he didn’t want to be living out of a hotel for most of his life, he wanted to be more than the guy who was just flying. Taking the pros and cons from what he had seen in the industry, he took the plunge to launch Eastin Aviation. Pilots are never done learning and Eastin Aviation is there to teach them.
Eastin Aviation is bringing a good taste back to small business. Small business makes up over 90% of the job market and it is through small business that communities are brought together. The aviation community is one that is fun, amazing and full of love and passion for flying. It’s a community you should consider joining.
