Bronco Sneak Peek

Meet the latest in a legacy

The Ford Bronco is a model line of SUVs that were manufactured and marketed by Ford from 1965 to 1996. The first sport-utility vehicle ever marketed by Ford was the beginning of the massive SUV trend. The Ford design team actually brought a first generation Bronco into the studio for inspiration.

The new 2021 Bronco starts at $30,000 with tits top-end models costing more than $60,000. A limited “First Edition” Bronco model starts at just over $60,000 and according to Ford’s website is already sold out.

Bronco models range from a basic SUV to a supreme off-roading vehicle. The trims are: Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Wildtrak and Badlands.

Two-door models come with a standard three-section removal roof system. Four-door models have four removable roof sections, but come standard with a cloth soft top. The roof panels are easily removed by unlocking latches from the interior of the vehicle and can be stored in the rear of the Bronco.

The Sport Model features 5 standard G.O.A.T. Modes (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain): Sand, Slippery, Sport, Eco and Normal.  While the Bandlands model comes with two additional modes: Mud/Ruts and Rockcrawl. Ford also offers 35-inch tires for the serious adventure seeker in the Sasquatch Package.  And for those tailgaters or fair weather campers, Ford also offers a slide-out table and bottle opener.

The standard engine is a turbocharged 2.3-liter inline-four that makes 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque.  The other option is a twin-turbo 2.7-liter V-6 that generates 310 horses and 400 lb-ft.  The Bronco will soon offer a hybrid power train as well.

The new Ford Bronco is as tough on the inside as it is on the outside.  Using rubberized switch and dials as well as vinyl seat upholstery and drains on the rubber floors get rid of any access water.

Even though Ford tough, it doesn’t lack in interior quality.  Onboard technologies like SYNC 3, and available wireless charging pad and B&O Sound System by Bang and Olufsen bring luxury to the inside of the Bronco.

The Bronco Sport is expected to begin arriving in dealerships by the end of this year, followed by the Bronco next spring. Ford began taking $100 refundable deposits for the vehicles, Monday July 13th.
