Building a Livable City in the 'Burbs

Living at Thompson Street Flats

If you have to get in your car to go to the office, shop, eat out, meet up with friends, hit the gym, grab a coffee and just about everything else, you’ll appreciate the dream behind Thompson Street Flats. “We recognize the trend of suburban to urban transitioning,” said Jeff Williams, Business Director of Kairos Development. “It’s about quality of life with walkability, great access to shops, chefs, entertainment, healthcare, and wellness. A livable city in the ‘burbs.”

Residents can hop on The Alpha Loop, the network of multi-use trails that is connecting people to the places, activities and jobs in the core of Alpharetta. It has two sections: a 3-mile inner loop and a 5-mile outer loop. Big Creek Greenway is a 20-mile multi-use trail that connects Alpharetta with Cumming and Roswell.

Jack connected with Pauline Miller, Managing Director of Compass New Development Services and together they are bringing a collection of 3-bedroom, single level condominiums designed by Lew Oliver Design to the city center. The large front porches encourage neighborly conversation and covered, gated parking below with a high speed elevator to the front door promises convenience.  Summer kitchens are the anchors of two shady community courtyards outside. Inside, there are only two homes per floor - providing three sides of natural light. Homeowners can chose site-finished or premium engineered hardwood flooring and will find Wolf commercial appliances, quartz countertops a farmhouse cast-iron sink, owner’s suite and 2,560 square feet of bright living space.

Kairos has had its eye on the prize for years, acquiring the Thompson Street property in 2017. “We are designed for the care free single level living.  The HOA takes care of all your exterior maintenance, lawn care, common area cleaning, trash service,” says Jack. “Large open floor plans for entertaining and ample space for guests.  Did I say… no Stairs?!”
