If your current washer and dryer are nearing the end of their useful lives, you’ll be glad to know about some of the exciting recent innovations in laundry equipment. When the time comes to replace your pair, we think you’ll find that your laundry chores will be easier than ever. Here are a few of our favorite newer features:

  • Efficiency – nearly all the machines use less power and less water these days; the savings add up over time. This used to mean longer cycle times, but now even those are getting shorter. And, in many cases, cold-water washes are just as effective as using hot water.
  • Noise control – most machines have gotten quieter. Depending on where your laundry room is located, this can be a feature you’ll appreciate.
  • Steam and sanitize cycles – you can be sure the dust mites and bacteria are gone!
  • Making up for our lapses – we all forget about the load in the washer or dryer at times. Some machines will tumble the load at intervals to help keep things fresh.
  • Bells and whistles for techies – maybe it will float your boat to be able to control your machine from afar. Some models will connect to your smartphone for remote operation.
  • Convenience features – imagine being able to fill the detergent bin once for multiple loads. Or being able to delicate-dry items laid flat while tumbling a bigger load beneath. Or taking advantage of artificial intelligence to produce optimal results without any guesswork.
  • Just the basics, please – if you don’t care about multiple custom cycles, you can save money on starter models from most manufacturers.
  • Longer warranties – some companies are offering extended-year warranties; these machines are built to give you many years of great service.

And now, a word about shopping:

Before you come in, think about your top priorities for doing laundry. Communicating these to your sales person will help him/her to find the right products for your personal needs.

And – please do not wait till your machines die. In these days of supply challenges, it can take longer than usual between order date and delivery date.

Whatever your needs and timeframe, we’re confident that with the help of a knowledgeable sales person, you will find the products to elevate your laundry experience.
