Osteoporosis, which means “porous bones,” is a condition that causes bones to become weak and brittle, leading to fractures. It is a major public health threat for Americans age 50 older. In the United States, 10 million people are estimated to already have the disease, and almost 34 million more are estimated to have low bone mass, placing them at increased risk for osteoporosis.

Shawn Bennett, founder and owner of 1 REP GYM, says he has the answer to prevent and even reverse osteoporosis using a system that can take only 10 minutes a week of effort.

1 REP GYM is a piece of equipment that utilizes user-generated "force" to increase bone density and muscular strength.

In 2004, Shawn developed "Measured Intensity Training"™ the measured isometric strength exercise protocol, and combined it with osteogenic loading, which is a rehabilitative medicine method with the goal of increasing bone mass density and preventing bone fracture.

Shawn spent more than a decade training thousands of clients and conducting more than 20,000 training sessions. The manufacturers of the equipment he used went out of business and eventually, he was forced to design his own equipment, which he calls 1 REP GYM and is available for commercial and in-home private use.

"All you do is get into position. You push as hard as you possibly can in a number of different exercises for basically 10 main exercises," Shawn says. "Each time you do this, you get stronger. So every few days, we keep track of how much you push."

1 REP GYM makes your body do effort that it's not used to doing. Most people are not used to pushing as hard as they possibly can, even if they're doing regular workout. Called overloading, the maximum pushing effort triggers the central nervous system to trigger a response to become stronger.

"1 REP GYM strengthens the bones through something called osteogenic loading, which means enough force going through the hip to increase bone mass density," Shawn says. "We can grow new bone strength."

While similar systems sell for more than $100,000, the 1 REP GYM sells for less than $5,000. For more information or to order, visit 1RepGym.com.
