Colton Turnquist grew up in Austin with close family ties to the real estate industry, developing an early understanding of the market. From the beginning, his work has been grounded in perspective and a strong sense of responsibility to those he represents. “Informing a client with confidence is essential,” Colton shares, “because the client needs to trust that you are the expert.” That mindset carries through every stage of the process, from initial conversations through closing, helping clients move forward with clarity at each step.
Before returning to Austin, Colton began his real estate career in New York City with Douglas Elliman, gaining experience in a fast-paced market. Prior to that, he competed in golf at the University of Texas at Austin and Baylor University, later playing professionally. “The most significant life lesson from golf is that balance is key to being successful in anything,” he says, a perspective that continues to shape how he works with clients as they navigate important decisions.
Now a Global Real Estate Advisor and Professional Athlete Advisory Member with Engel & Völkers Austin, Colton works with a range of clients, including professional athletes, offering guidance tailored to their needs and long-term considerations.
In working with clients, several key considerations consistently guide his approach:
