Caruso Cabinets, located in Avon Ohio, is a premier custom cabinetry company known for its exceptional craftsmanship and innovative designs. With a focus on quality materials and attention to detail, they create tailored solutions for kitchens, bathrooms, and living spaces. Caruso Cabinets boasts a family run team of experienced professionals who collaborate closely with clients to bring their vision to life, ensuring each piece reflects personal style and functionality. Their commitment to customer satisfaction and excellence has earned them a solid reputation in the community. Whether renovating or building new, Caruso Cabinets is dedicated to enhancing homes with beautiful, functional cabinetry that stands the test of time.

Tom Caruso opened Caruso Cabinets in 2001 after working for a large national company, that in Tom’s opinion, was “too big to care about its customers.”   The first thing he did when venturing out on his own was to seek out a family-owned cabinet manufacturer because he knew they would deliver a quality product with a personal touch.  He found this, and more, with Wellborn Cabinet.

“Working with the Wellborn family is different than working with a conglomerate,” explained Tom. “If I need something, I can talk directly to a family member. They take pride in their products and place their care in their dealers, rather than in profits for shareholders.” This was most evident during the recession of 2009. “We created a plan together to navigate through the housing crisis. I would not be in business today without the support of the Wellborn family.”

Equally important to Tom is that Wellborn is a US company. Many cabinet companies receive materials from foreign markets and assemble them in the states. “Not Wellborn,” says Tom. “They go from log to finished cabinet in their Ashland, Alabama facility.” It is a facility that Tom visits regularly and sends staff to for training.

It should come as no surprise that after starting his own cabinet company, Tom eventually began to emulate the Wellborn model. Though he says he did not have a family-run business in mind, he ended up with just that. “When my daughters showed interest in being part of the company, I knew that growing a family business that will potentially go on for generations was something I wanted to do. Working with them, and my brother, has made me love what I do for a living even more.”

What can Caruso Cabinets offer you that a larger company cannot? “The biggest thing is the personal service we offer. The person you talk to today will be the same one you talk to tomorrow. You won’t be transferred to a customer service representative in another state.” Also, Caruso is proud of the experience his employees offer. “Most of us have been doing this for twenty to thirty years now,” he shared.

The benefits of this family-owned business extend into the community. “Buying from a family business keeps money in the local economy. Who knows better about spending their own dollars locally than the employees of a family business?” asks Tom. Additionally, he is happy to support organizations that benefit local families. Caruso Cabinets has sponsored sports teams and events in Avon, Avon Lake, Vermillion, and Westlake. They are also one of the sponsors of a large yearly fundraiser for Save Our Children in Elyria and have donated cabinets for seven of the local St. Jude Dream Homes.

Finally, Caruso notes that the unusual structure of a family-owned business ordering directly from a family-owned business creates an unparalleled experience for customers. “The level of communication is something that cannot be replicated,” says Caruso. “Caruso’s Cabinets and Wellborn will work together to ensure a smoother and less expensive project than a large and impersonal national company can provide.” Visit their showroom at Avon Commons or call 440-937-9363 for information.
