Becky McClurkin loves creating beautiful spaces. As owner of Casia Home Interior Design, she channels that creativity by providing residential interior design and decorating services for bedrooms, living, and dining spaces as well as kitchens and bathrooms.

One of the aspects of interior design that excites Becky most is the seemingly endless sources of inspiration and styles to integrate into a design plan. “I love so many styles and there are very few that I can't find something that I like about it, which really helps me to connect with my clients,” shares Becky. “Although there are some people who like one style only, most people are a mixture of styles even if they don't realize it.”

For clients who may not know exactly their style preferences, Becky starts them off with a Look Book for inspiration. “It has about thirty pages of pictures of different styles of rooms that they can go through and circle things they like whether that is a lamp, rug, or the whole picture,” she says. “It’s one of my keys to really starting to dig into the psyche of the client and get to know their design style.”

Using that information, Becky develops an initial mood board that helps the project take shape followed by a more detailed concept board and design plans. She guides clients through decisions, purchases, and checks in during construction to ensure everything is going as planned. “The process of Interior Design can be stressful but I'm here to reduce that stress, to hold the client's hand throughout the process, answer their questions and do my best to make sure they know they're not alone in choosing their items and making their home feel elevated,” she explains.

When creating a design plan, Becky has three primary goals. “I can make it beautiful and timeless in a way that you’re not looking back in ten years and questioning a decision,” she shares. “I also want it to be functional so that it serves your needs.”

Becky thrives on connecting with clients through the creative process. “There are moments when the client and I are really in sync,” says Becky. “I'm feeding them ideas and they're feeding me ideas and we can just go through room after room after room and create these stunning designs. It's really amazing and drives my passion.”

For Becky, the most rewarding aspect of the creative process is seeing a design seamlessly come to life and having her clients feel the tranquility that comes with being in a space created just for them. “If your house feels like you, then you feel embraced by your home,” says Becky. “Your space can be everything you want it to be while still being stylish and having that elevated feel that comes with professional interior design.”
