This October 18, 19, and 20, Venice will come alive with the vibrant energy of Sun Fiesta, one of our community's most cherished traditions. Held in the heart of downtown, this three-day event is packed with festivities, including arts, crafts, food, music, and dancing.
Sun Fiesta is a true celebration of community spirit, organized by the Women's Sertoma Club of Venice (WSCV)—a dedicated group of women committed to service and local wellbeing. All proceeds from the event benefit WSCV's charitable initiatives, from student scholarships to essential service organizations.
The Sertoma Club of Venice is once again pleased to host its popular “Cheeseburgers in Paradise” tent at Sun Fiesta)—offering the best cheeseburger in town, along with a bag of chips and a pickle, for just $10. Proceeds from the “Cheeseburgers” tent will directly support the Sertoma Speech Clinic, the primary focus of the Sertoma Club of Venice, as explained by club member Paul Cernansky. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to providing exceptional care to children with communication impairments.
The Sertoma Speech Clinic, located at 800 Gulf Coast Blvd. in the Children First Building, employs three speech therapists who deliver hundreds of sessions each month to children in the Venice community. The clinic offers flexible appointment times and services on an income-based scale to ensure accessibility at minimal cost.
"Come out to the Sun Fiesta, enjoy a cheeseburger, and support the Women's Sertoma Club of Venice and the Speech Clinic," urged Cernansky. Learn more at womenssertoma.com/sun-fiesta.
