Celebrating Ocean Kids Camp

20 Summers of Surf, Safety & Smiles

Ocean Kids Camp is proudly celebrating 20 amazing summer seasons. Operating two locations every week through June, July, and into August. Whether one attends the Lowdermilk beach location in the city or the Delnor-Wiggins Pass location in North Naples the camp curriculum is consistent. A typical week will have groups rotating between an assortment of beach activities. Kids can expect to be introduced to a curriculum to include surfing, stand-up paddle boarding (SUP), snorkeling, water safety, water rescue, lifeguard games, special guest presentations, and a beach Olympics. There is no better place for kids to spend their time during the heat of summer! Send your children to be nourished with new local knowledge about our marine environment and an abundance of ocean adventures!

The OKC program has been evolving since its inception in the summer of 2006. Developed initially to capture the interest of kids so that they would learn more about being safe and developing confidence while interacting with our local Gulf waters. OKC was created by its founders who are knowledgeable professionals that possess decades of ocean lifeguard training, extensive surfing, diving, and public safety experience. OKC took inspiration from the California Junior Lifeguard programs, adapting the curriculum to fit the Naples beach environment. Campers can expect to receive instruction on other topics including rip currents, marine life, and water safety. We want to instill awareness and educate our youth to respect, preserve, and protect our oceans and marine life.

OKC is also a non-profit 501(c)3 with a mission to empower youth throughout communities worldwide by providing ocean education programs.

Through exciting beach activities and fun hands-on learning experiences we aim to cultivate a generation of young ocean advocates who are confident interacting safely in a variety of ocean situations and dedicated to preserving our planet's vital marine ecosystems.

Whether you wish to participate as a camper, or you want to be involved to help OKC attain its goals as a donor please visit oceankidscamp.com for registration and donation information.
