Afghan Refugee Relief

“ICCP has been honored to help with relief efforts of all refugees who seek aid,” says Dilshad. “We work with churches, synagogues, relief organizations and individuals to provide monetary aid, food, clothing, shoes, appliances, and furniture, etc. to Afghan families and individuals.”

Annual Ramadan Interfaith Event

The ICCP welcomes community members, churches, and synagogues to break bread in the holy month of Ramadan.“Discussions surround what we have in common: doing good, serving others, revering a higher entity, respect for oneself and others," Dilshad explains. "The impact is an incredible feeling of oneness and an appreciation of those who practice a different faith.”

Hunger Van

This monthly program fulfills a religious duty to feed the poor and homeless, and much more. When students participate, Dilshad says, “Some cry when they are met with such sincerity and gratitude from the homeless in DC. Some say they feel better serving others.”
