The Greater Gainesville Chamber is honored to host our annual Veteran’s Appreciation Luncheon on Tuesday, November 9th in gratitude to our veterans—the 19 million vets nationally and the 15,000+ right here in Alachua County. Veteran’s Day was established to celebrate the return to peace after World War I and is a day to remember our debt to all those who have worn the uniform of the United States.

With our presenting sponsor, VyStar Credit Union, the Chamber, and our members take this opportunity to express our gratitude for what our veterans have done for us, and to acknowledge all they have yet to provide our community.  Veterans return to civilian life with invaluable training and skills, such as leadership, motivation, the ability to work under stress, tech skills and global understanding.

The Chamber and our business community understand that hiring a veteran not only strengthens your company but also helps repay the debt for their service.  Regardless of where or when they served, our veterans are part of the unbroken chain of patriots who sacrificed to ensure the ideals on which our nation was built remain true.
