BACK TO BACK SPIRIT STATE CHAMPS

Celina High Cheer UIL Team Clean Sweeps Division

The Celina High School cheerleading program led by Coach Julie Hall has successfully secured back-to-back UIL Spirit State Championships. They clinched their first 4A Division II title in 2022 and, after finishing in the top five in the state in 2023, have taken gold in 4A Division 1 ever since.

This accomplishment underscores the team's dedication, rigorous training, quality coaching, and unwavering commitment to excellence. Earlier this school year, both band and football celebrated state championships. Despite the incredible pressure that typically comes with competing at the highest level, our cheerleaders were also faced with the pressure of making history. No school in Texas had ever won state in all three Friday Night Lights disciplines in the same school year. Not only did they clinch the title and make history, but they also won first place in all three categories: crowd leading, band chant, and fight song.

The cheerleading team's performance brings pride to Celina High School and inspires the community. Their success reflects the strength of the school's programs and the dedication of its students and coaching staff. As the cheerleaders continue to build on their legacy, they exemplify the spirit and determination that define Celina High School.
