Celina Young Ladies of Influence is a leadership and service organization for female juniors and seniors in the Celina ISD community. An offshoot of Celina Ladies of Influence (CLOI) and under the umbrella of the Celina Chamber of Commerce, CYLOI was founded by lifelong Celina resident and businesswoman, Dana Draper of Fidelity National Title, to promote leadership and connect young women with service opportunities. Together with her daughter Rylee, CYLOI was established in 2024 and welcomed its first ten members for the 2024-2025 school year.
Membership is application-driven and open to all public, private, and homeschool families in the Celina ISD community. Potential members should be service-oriented and have a desire to improve the lives of those in the group and their surrounding community. The group is intended to be inclusive and respectful, focusing on service while providing dignity to those they serve, creating connectivity among members and the community, and strengthening communication and teamwork skills.
Overseen by Dana, student officers plan and lead monthly meetings, social gatherings, and volunteer events. In its inaugural year, the group volunteered at a variety of events including Oktoberfest in the Kinder Zone, as set-up and clean-up crew and check-in hosts for the Celina Ladies of Influence Style Show, with Fidelis Inter Se placing U.S. flags on the graves of our military heroes at Old Celina Cemetery in honor of Veteran’s Day, and at Settlers Ridge Care Center during Christmas with socks and blanket distribution and holiday singing.
Senior members of CYLOI are eligible to apply for scholarships through CLOI’s fundraising activities, namely its popular Style Show. For 2025 seniors, $6,000 was awarded through an application process and presented at the annual Celina Education Foundation Scholarship Night.
Dana plans to expand the program’s offerings to include a symposium in conjunction with other organizations, broadening the horizons of Celina’s young adults. Event calendar and CYLOI applications open in July and run through mid-September and can be found at CelinaChamber.org. For sponsorships and donations, contact Dana Draper at dana@shawvertitle.com.
CYLOI’s mission: To serve the community as we strive to make it better through the future generations. As young leaders, we strive to be a positive light in the Celina ISD communities by providing service to others, both now and in the future.
