Years ago, when you started collecting wine, the idea of having a wine cellar in your home began with finding a space where you could fit wine racks and keep it cool. Fast forward, and they are now what Cellar Masters calls wine features in your living space or business. This means you can not only enjoy your wine collection in your dining room, living room or unique space, but also watch your collection grow. Okay, and maybe brag about it to friends or customers too!
Cellar Masters was founded in 1990 for that very reason—to sit down with clients, listen to their needs and design a climate-controlled wine storage experience for them to enjoy every day.
“I have assembled an incredible experienced team at Cellar Masters to design, build and install cellars and wine storage for your home or for your business,” says Cellar Masters Owner Scott Berry, who has installed more than 2,500 custom wine cellars throughout the region.
As avid wine collectors and restaurateurs have experienced with Cellar Masters, the team applies their knowledge and experience to create wine features tailored to each client’s specific needs.
“Call it our obsession…we love visiting a new home or business, listening, designing and creating their custom wine cellars every step of the way,” says Scott. “We understand our clients' tastes are unique for each project, so their wine cellar is personalized to suit their needs. You dream it, and Cellar Masters will create it!”
Serving both residential and commercial clients, Cellar Masters’ team of design experts and installation professionals works in concert to build custom wine cellars of all shapes and sizes to protect your wine collection and enhance your home or business. From the elegant beauty of a traditional wine cellar to contemporary wine walls, Cellar Masters excels at customizing wine features to fit any space.
“I am always pleased when discussing a new cellar with a new client and see how excited they get when they realize they do have enough space to create one, whether in an unused space under a staircase, in an unused room or on a wall,” says Scott.
A recent project involved converting an unused basement space in a historic 1894 home in Santa Barbara. This climate-controlled wine cellar, crafted from alder with exposed concrete beams, walls and floors, has become a home for the owners’ 740-bottle wine collection, featuring a central tasting table where guests can congregate to enjoy their wine. The locking, black anodized sliding doors, with their three glass panes, offer an amazing way to view the collection. “We loved how this wine feature turned out!” shares Scott.
