Chef Marissa Fisk of Marissa Fisk Catering is a trained chef, baker, and food stylist, who specializes in artisanal slow-batch cooking. Her work, which includes food photography, has been featured in numerous online publications along with more than 40 published recipes. Chef Marissa is a creative whose artistic medium is bringing food to life. Her use of vibrant colors and real foods highlight her elegant style.
Marissa began her career in the arts focusing on singing and acting. She then went into event planning in the ’90s, which led her to culinary school with a focus on healthy international cuisine. Chef Marissa pursued a culinary career to heal herself and others through real food and intentional cooking.
Having worked in the hospitality industry now for more than 20 years, Marissa’s food and business experience is wide-reaching. She owned and operated a successful farmers’ market bakery and full-service catering company to the stars in Los Angeles, CA. She also created a gorgeous farm-to-table meal prep service and produced gluten-free, organic baked goods.
In 2012, Marissa and her family decided to relocate to Austin, TX, to be with family. After getting settled, she relaunched her catering business in 2016 in Dripping Springs. When she’s not cooking, Marissa enjoys painting, gardening, worship, and spending time with her sweet husband of 13 years and their two adorable daughters.
